Green Machine
There is a huge interest in the “Green” horses as listed on the Melbourne Raceday Pro-Sheets.
Explanation, instruction and early years’ results have been in the intro-pak and online for members for years.

At every Mel Saturday-Class meeting, the Elite Ratings Pro-Sheet includes the colour coding.
The green coloured rated horses are considered the absolute best winning chances in the race.
Saturday’s Green Horses

Here are Melbourne’s “green” chances as presented to members in the Elite Raceday Pro-Sheet on Saturday.
The value of this added extra is obvious.
Race 1:
Three ‘real’ winning chances. Top-Rated A Little Deep WON at $8.50.
Race 2:
One two ‘greens’ here. Top-Rated Rise At Dawn WON at $2.10.
Race 3:
Just one here. Lovazou was considered the ONLY “real” winning chance.
She overcame a near-disastrous block in the straight to fly home and win at $4.40.
No Elite Ratings for the pathetic race 4 BM 74 $80k race or the early-season three year races (R5 and 6).
Race 7:
Trickier here with five green horses.
We rated them all very close together but we underrated Arkansaw Kid which won at $2.70.
He was of course noted as one of the definite winning chances.
Race 8:
We considered this a race with just TWO main winning chances.
Roy got there at $6.00.
Race 9:
FIVE main chances here. Third Rated, Running By prevailed at $20.00.
She was a Pro-Strategy plan qualifier and added lots of cream to the net profit that was already accumulated before her race.
The top three were rated very close together.
It is easy to see why these colour-coded horse have a cult following among Melbourne members.
Scenario Horses
I know you would have noticed that the Top-Rated “scenario” (Scen Order column) horses won five of these six rated races. That includes Running By’s $20 win.
The scenario number denotes the most suited when all of today’s conditions are taken into account for all runners. (Rated from 1 down)
