Elite Racing’s strongest betting strategy, Elite-Combo had three winning days from four in February and increased the bank by $1,416 (+14.1%).

Just a reminder that the final Elite Combo qualifiers are not necessarily top-rated on the Elite ratings Pro-Sheets. There are other factors in play outside the actual Elite-rated position of the Elite-Combo qualifier.

Second and Third rated Elite Combo bets.

Since going live with the current Elite Combo algorithm in September, qualifiers that were not top-rated on the Elite Ratings Mel/Syd Pro-Sheet have demonstrated their best and their worst.

September/October saw those lower rated Elite Combo bets make $1,925 net profit.

November through to now they lost $2,366.

If we based the strategy on the past four months, we would obviously not be going forward with non-top-raters.

That would be a huge mistake.

Our long-term data (2021-2026) shows a completely different story. The overall long-term contribution of the Elite Combo bets that were not top-rated is $49,641 net profit.

Conclusion

Betting on lower-rated horses to beat top-raters always creates discussion, especially when they lose.
In the long-term we would be throwing away a lot of good winners and profit if we sacked them.
Winners like these live 2nd and 3rd raters.
